Saved by Grace Church Ministries
The following are some of the ministries at Saved by Grace Lutheran Church:
Bible Study: “…Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ…” (Romans 10:17). Group Bible Study is held every Wednesday at the church from 1pm. God speaks his Word of truth and life to us through the Holy Scriptures and through one another so that we may grow as faithful and faith-filled disciples of Jesus Christ: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching… and training in righteousness so that the man [or woman] of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2Timothy 3:16-17).
Prayer Group: We meet for prayer every Tuesday at 1pm at the church. The goals of the group are to foster an environment where those who attend can pray for themselves, their family members, or other members of our church or community. Prayer is the life-blood of every Christian!
Chimes Choir: Our chime choir plays many familiar Lutheran hymns on a monthly basis. Using our 23 chime set we sing glory to our God with our harmonic songs. We practice on a weekly basis and are always open to new members regardless of their previous music experience.
Elementary Age Sunday School: Meets on Sundays at 10AM (between the first and second services) from September through May (we break during summer months). Presently for children 1-5th grade only.
Red Wagon Ministry: The Red Wagon Ministry collects food for the local VFW Post 10054 and soap and shampoo is collected for the Nye County Coalition.
Stephen Ministry: This is a one-to-one Christian outreach for those suffering crisis of loss, grief, illness, or other difficult transition in life.
Youth Fellowship – Saved By Grace Lutheran Church sponsors a Teen Fellowship/Bible Study on Thursday nights from 6:30pm – 8:00pm, hosted at the home of a church congregant and is open to all interested teens. It is a Bible and supplemental text based study with Pastor John Biggs handling instructional responsibilities. Youth are shown how the Lord speaks through the Bible as well as how He speaks and acts in our daily lives. All participants are encouraged to ask questions and Pastor Biggs most aptly fields all queries, clearly revealing Scriptural relevance and application to today, and regularly demonstrates how modern life and its problems are far less modern than one might think.
